What Are You Reading Wednesday?: October 10, 2018

What Are You Reading Wednesday was created by RhiannaMarissa, and Kendall. The idea is to create a space for book lovers to share, discuss, and recommend the books they are currently reading and loving. All you have to do is answer the questions about your current read and then head over to one of the host’s sites to link up your post! Have fun and don’t forget to check out everyone’s posts as well!

The Lost Sisters

(The Folk of the Air #1.5)

Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes . . .

While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster, Locke.

Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.

The Lost Sisters is a companion e-novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince by master writer Holly Black.

1. Why did you decide to pick up this book–cover or content?

Content! (I loved The Cruel Prince, and can’t wait for more! XD) While SJMaas started my love (obsession?) of Fae, Holly Black stole first place as my favorite Fae author!

2. Who is your favorite character so far, and why?

I have to pick? I love Jude, but there are so many great characters in this series! One of my favorite things is the chemistry and how well they each play off each other!

3. Will you finish this one?

4. This book reminds me of…

If anything A Court of Thorns and Roses if only because that was my first real look at Fae.

5. What type of read is this one? (Slow but interesting, cannot put it down…)

It’s Taryn’s take on some of the events of The Cruel Prince, so it’s not as detailed or fast-paced as that, it’s still an easy read, yet has the emotional side I crave as well.
