Top Ten Tuesday- Series I May Pick Back Up

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl.

Top Ten

This is a post I’ve been meaning to do for a while now. There are a lot of series I would like to finish that I put down for various reasons over the years, and just haven’t picked back up. Some were new series that the newer books weren’t published yet when I got to them, while others are older series that I started, and haven’t had time to finish.

Wheel of Time

I started this series years ago, and really enjoyed the first two books, but never picked up book 3. It’s been so long, I’ll have to do a reread of the first two, but when I first read them, it took me close to a month to read each of them, so I’ve been putting it off do to time constraints.

Warriors I started these as a teenager and read up until The Last Hope, but at the time, the other books weren’t published, and I just haven’t picked up the new books.

Redwall I got almost halfway though this series, but we stopped going to the library where I found out about these books, and I haven’t picked them back up yet. I now own almost half of them though, so I hope to read them soon.

Lord of the Rings I own these, and loved the first, so I’m really not sure why I haven’t finished this series yet.

The Heroes of Olympus

OK, so this isn’t a continuation, but a new series. Still it’s set in the same world as Percy Jackson, so I’m putting it here. I’ve read all the Percy Jackson series, and the first book of the Kane Chronicles, but the other books weren’t out yet last time I read his work.

Wolves of the Beyond I loved Ga’hoole, and enjoyed this spin-off series, but like some of the others, this series was new when I started it, and I just haven’t picked up the new books yet.

The Gatekeepers I read all but the last book in this series, and I remember I had to wait two years for this to come out. At the time, I wasn’t used to waiting for new books, so I thought that was forever! Little did I know some people have, and still are, waiting for books 5+ years later!

The Heir Chronicles I actually, until recently, thought that this series was a trilogy. I loved the first three books, but after The Dragon Heir, I didn’t realize there were more books coming.

The Thief Who Pulled On Trouble’s Braids I’ve heard the rest of this series isn’t as good as the first book, but I still plan to read the read of the series at some point.

The Ties That Bind This series I actually read backwards. I read book 3.5 without reading the rest of the series, but after reading that novella, I am super excited to read this series!

Dragons of Starlight I love this series so much! Again I finished book 2 before the next book came out.

So that’s my list. Have you read any of the books listed? What are some series you plan to continue?
