Mid-Year Freakout Tag

ow, this year has flown by! Still, I’ve gotten loads of reading down, and have read some pretty fantastic books already, and I have even more to look forward too this year!

I planned to do this tag anyway, but I stumbled on Kristina @ Books And Dachshunds who tagged anyone who still wanted to do this tag, so I’ll credit her XD

You have read 45 of 52 books in 2018.

Best book you’ve read this year ?

Not really book, but I loved the Recoil Trilogy! Its one I hadn’t heard of before, but turned out to by my favorite YA Dystopia!

Best sequel you’ve read in 2018?

I’ve read a lot of Book 1’s in some new series, but have only read a few sequals this year so far. That said, I’d have to say Legendary (Caraval #2) steals this spot!

New release you haven’t read yet but want to ?

Um…just one?! XD 37541828

Most Anticipated Release For The Second Half Of The Year?

There are a few, but most anticipated? Right off, I think of Kingdom of Ash (ToG #7)

Biggest Disappointment?

I have some I put down, and may or may not finish. Of those Furyborn is my biggest disappointment.

Of the titles I finished reading? Sleep Train 35742906

Biggest Surprise?

Polaris by Michael Northrop I read his Trapped as a child, and really didn’t like it. So I was worried when I realized this was by the same author, as I had already agreed to review it. So I was super surprised that I ended up loving it!

Favorite New To You Or Debut Author?

New to me; Joanne Macgregor. Debut Author; Adrienne Young.
Both of these ladies have become two of my favorite authors this year! Joanne Macgregor with her Recoil Trilogy, and Adrienne Young with Sky in the Deep.

Newest Favorite Character?

Um…there are quite a few… Quinn and Jinxy from Recoil, Luka and Emily from The Progeny, and “Jane Doe” from Whisper.

Book That Made You Cry?

I don’t think any have this year… Its often very hard to get me to cry, (unless I’m super depressed, in which case I don’t read.) The last one I remember making me cry way the audiobook of Gaiman’s Norse Mythology last November.

Book That Made You Happy?

Many of them. The series with the most satisfying end has to be The Library Wars! I loved V.11, and am so glad I read it! Book that made me happy in general? A four-way tie between:

  • The Cruel Prince
  • The City of Brass
  • Even the Darkest Stars
  • Legendary

They were all so good, and I can’t wait to read more/the end of each series!

Favorite Book-To-Film Adaptation?

All time? Howl’s Moving Castle. This year?

The only one I’ve seen was The Boxcar Children, since it’s my little brother’s favorite series right now. And it’s actually really good.

Favorite Post You Have Done This Year?

Hmm…well I started my blog for reviews mostly, and I’ve done some reviews I’m pretty proud of, but I’m probably most proud of my post about getting ARCs and my experience so far. HERE

Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year?

I haven’t bought very many this year…and most were for Kindle. That said:

26533261 I love her covers, and am excited to read this series!

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End of the Year?

Uh…lol..yeah. I have quite a few. Some are review requests, and others are sequels for series I love.

Here’s to another 6 months of fabulous reads! If you still haven’t done this yet, and want to, consider yourself tagged. Thanks for reading!
