I did it! (Plus a spotlight for a new review request)

Ahaha! I'm still super excited from my interview this morning! I got the job! True, it's just for the holidays, but I'm hoping it leads to something permanent, at least until I can afford a car, and to go back to school for a degree in Wildlife Rehabiliation (AKA my all time dream job, well that or working with books! Another thing I plan to study for in school.)

BUT Since this is a book blog, I'll also share a spotlight (Just to keep it bookish, since it isn't a Monday, and I couldn't wait until next week so share!) Just a heads up though, I might not be as active. I will try to plan ahead and schedule things so they are still posted on the right days, but if I am a little behind, I'm sorry, I will get it posted ASAP, I just need everyone to work with me until I get back to a regular schadule.

35955669Gabriel, The Training of an Angel

Looking back on his youth from a heaven unconstrained by time, the angel Gabriel writes his memoir to recount his early spiritual formation on Earth with the Hanson family. Sent in 2015 by the Trinity to the Philadelphia suburbs as a guardian for a grieving boy, Gabriel, himself, grows up through both tragic and lighthearted experiences with mortals before traveling back through the ages to announce Christ's birth. Appearing first as a babysitter named Debbie, Gabriel arrives on Earth to help with five-year-old Jon's birthday party. During the celebration, tragedy strikes. Gabriel wings straight back to heaven for guidance and returns to Earth as elderly, homeless Dave Kryzinsky to fulfill his mission-- an assignment that includes defeating the resident fallen spirit, Mourning.

What does Gabriel learn from family life?
